The Early Years
The legend of the Marquis is deeply intertwined with Italian history. More specifically, it started in the early XIX century: before the invention of toothpaste. Back then, Italians used to gesticulate even more than they do now, as a way to make up for the terrible breath coming out of their mouth. It’s with the goal of preserving the Italian language that our Marquis started developing a paste for dental hygiene. Unfortunately, Italians still gesticulate a lot. The history of the Marquis starts in 1455, when he made his first headline just minutes after he was born. In fact, he came into the world smiling with a full set of bright, strong teeth. Discovery
We discovered that the Marquis devoted his whole life to his two passions: poetry and toothpaste. Not much more is known about his poetry, except for his only retrieved manuscript, a poem probably dedicated to a lover. It reads: “Roses are red, violets are blue, don’t forget to floss and your smile will be true!” We wonder why his toothpaste Marvis became famous and his poetries didn’t.
